Message from Minister for Digital Transformation Matumoto on this initiative
This is an important notice for pensioners.
![]()
A special scheme (Special Scheme for Registration via Administrative Organs, etc.) will be launched that allows pension transfer accounts to be registered as "public money receiving account."
This is one of the registration methods in the "public money receiving account Registration System," in which you register an account in advance to receive benefits, etc., and was established to simplify the procedure.
For pensioners who have not yet registered a public money receiving account (account to receive benefits), the pension transfer account will be registered as a public money receiving account only if there is no request for disapproval.
For Safe Use
- Only the information necessary for transferring benefits, such as the name of the financial institution and account number, is registered
- No balance or other property information will be registered
- The state does not withdraw deposits and savings
- We will never ask you to provide your account information by phone, SMS or email
Action Required
- If you wish to register a pension transfer account, you do not need to do so.
- If you do not wish to register a pension transfer account, please return the "Request for Non-Consent" (within 45 days of arrival).
- If you would like to register a separate account instead of a pension transfer account, please refer to for procedures such as registration in public money receiving account, My Number System.
