Outline
When a disaster occurs, information is essential for quickly understanding the damage, making accurate decisions, and taking appropriate actions. The national government, local governments, designated public institutions, and other organizations can use digital technology to share disaster-related information, thereby responding to disasters in an optimal manner as a whole. In addition, it is important to provide detailed support tailored to each person's situation so that residents and others can prepare for disasters even in normal times and take actions to protect their lives in the event of a disaster. | Disaster prevention DX procurement support for local governments | The "Disaster Prevention DX Service Map" and "Disaster Prevention DX Service Catalog" are released on the website so that each local government can smoothly procure the necessary disaster prevention applications and services. |
| Sophistication of response to disasters using digital technology in evacuation shelter, etc. | The Government of Japan has been conducting demonstration projects on advanced responses to disasters using digital technologies, making use of My Number Card and other locations. |
| Digital Assistance Team for Disaster Response (D-CERT) | At the time of large-scale disasters, Digital Assistance Team for Disaster Response performs necessary activities so that measures against disasters of disaster-stricken prefectures may proceed smoothly. |
| Development of disaster prevention DX measures in collaboration with the "Disaster Prevention DX Public-Private Joint Creation Council" | In order to strongly promote digital disaster preparedness, we are promoting initiatives to realize DX for disaster preparedness in cooperation with the "Disaster Preparedness DX Public-Private Co-Creation Council." The four initiatives mentioned above are also being promoted in cooperation with the council. |

The support provided by Digital Agency during disasters that have actually occurred is listed. Based on the experience, knowledge, and challenges gained through support, we will continue to work to realize disaster prevention DX that is prepared for future disasters.
