Overview
In the aftermath of the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake disaster that occurred on January 1, 2024, digital human resources from the private sector went to the affected areas immediately after the disaster struck, and made significant contributions by providing digital support for the prefecture's response to the disaster, including the on-site construction of systems to grasp the situation of evacuees according to the prefecture's needs.
Based on this experience, "Digital Assistance Team for Disaster Response" was created in cooperation with Disaster Prevention DX Public-Private Joint Creation Council so that disaster-response measures can be implemented effectively by the disaster-stricken prefecture during large-scale disasters.
When large-scale disasters occur, Digital Assistance Team for Disaster Response will go to the affected areas and, based on the needs of the affected prefectures, propose digital support menus that are considered necessary for responding to disasters and specify the content of the support, and carry out necessary activities to ensure that the response to disasters in the affected prefectures proceeds smoothly.
