1. Overview
During the 23rd Council for the Promotion of a Digital Society Executive Board Meeting held in writing on June 12, 2026, “The Guideline for Japanese Government’s Procurements and Utilizations of Generative AI for the sake of Evolution and Innovation of Public Administration (Version 2.0)” was approved. (Click here to read the first edition.)
This guideline is a revised version of "The Guideline for Japanese Government's Procurements and Utilizations of Generative AI for the sake of Evolution and Innovation of Public Administration", which was formulated on May 27, 2025. The revision has been made considering advances in generative AI-related technologies, the expansion of use cases, and domestic and international institutional and policy developments.
