Inauguration Ceremony for the 2026 Digital Reform Co-Creation Platform Ambassadors held

The Digital Agency operates an online community, the “Digital Reform Co-Creation Platform” (hereinafter the “Co-Creation Platform”), as a platform for open and constructive exchange of ideas among officials from local and government agencies. As part of its efforts to foster active engagement within the community, the Digital Agency has established an Ambassador Program.
The inauguration ceremony for the FY2026 Ambassadors was held on July 22.

Overview

The Co-Creation Platform is an online communication platform that allows any officials from local and national governments to participate to promote digital reform. Currently, more than 80% of local governments nationwide participate in the platform, where they share various information related to digital reform and exchange opinions.

Since FY2024, the Digital Agency has appointed officials from local governments who can contribute to and lead digitalization in local communities as “Ambassadors.” (Starting in FY2026, officials from national government have also become eligible for appointments as Ambassadors. )Through their active involvement in various activities, including community management and speaking at study sessions, Ambassadors help revitalize the community.
In FY2026, 12 Ambassadors were appointed, and an inauguration ceremony was held on July 22.

Digital Agency, in collaboration with the Ambassadors, will continue to support the digital reform in local governments by encouraging both national and local government officials to make active use of the Co-Creation Platform.
