Demonstration project
In this demonstration project, we are conducting a verification test to confirm the smooth implementation of reception using a smartphone with an added My Number Card function and online certification confirmation.
After operating the card reader with face recognition and registering the use of the My Number Card as the Health Insurance Certificate, you can use the smartphone with the My Number Card function by holding it over the card reader for smartphones.
This project will be tested at 15 medical institutions and pharmacies in the Kanto region on July 1-18 and August 4-15, 2025, and is scheduled to begin operating from around September 2025, starting with medical institutions and pharmacies that have a sound environment.
How to use the My Number Card added to your smartphone as a My Number Card as the Health Insurance Certificate
To use the My Number Card as the Health Insurance Certificate on your smartphone, you need to register for the My Number Card as the Health Insurance Certificate at a Mynaportal, etc., and then add the My Number Card to your smartphone. At the counter of a medical institution, pharmacy, etc., you can check your online qualification by simply holding your smartphone over a card reader with face authentication.
