1. PMH Initiatives
In the fields of medical subsidies, maternal and child health, vaccinations, and long-term care insurance, which are mainly implemented by local governments, there is a heavy workload for people, local governments, medical institutions, and pharmacies to coordinate paper-based information, and improvements are needed.
In order to solve this problem, the Roadmap for Promotion of Medical Digital Transformation (posted in Cabinet Secretariat) (PDF / 454 kb) , which was decided on June 2, 2023 (2023), states, "We will develop an information coordination system that can safely exchange necessary information between related organizations and administrative organizations, etc., and share information related to long-term care insurance, vaccinations, maternal and child health, publicly funded health care, and local independent medical care subsidies, etc., while linking with efforts to standardize local government systems."
In FY 2023 (FY 2023), Digital Agency developed a system (Public Medical Hub: PMH) with an information coordination function as a mechanism for this information coordination, and started a pilot project for local governments that wish to use it for the fields of medical expenses subsidies, vaccinations, and maternal and child health. In the future, we will expand the functions to increase the systems and use cases for information coordination with PMH, and promote initiatives to expand the target local governments, medical institutions, and pharmacies.
Benefits of PMH
- Field of medical expense subsidies
- When you visit a medical institution or pharmacy, you will be able to use the My Number Card (My Number Card as the Health Insurance Certificate) as a recipient certificate for medical care subsidies or a patient registration card.
- Areas of immunization and maternal and child health
- By entering the prevaccination screening questionnaire and interview sheet on a smartphone, etc. in advance, the My Number Card can be used as a vaccination ticket and medical examination ticket.
- The Mynaportal will recommend vaccinations and medical examinations to prevent people from forgetting vaccinations and medical examinations, and will enable people to check their vaccination history and medical examination results in real time on the Mynaportal.
