Private sector (MYNAWALLET, INC.) received the competent minister's approval for the use of Japanese Public Key Infrastructure.

On October 24, 2025, the competent minister approved Mynawallet, Inc. as a business operator that meets certain standards required for using Japan Agency for Local Authority Information Systems based on the provisions of Article 17, Paragraph 1, Item 6 of the Act on Certification Business of Japanese Public Key Infrastructure Concerning Electronic Signatures, etc. (Act No. 153 of 2002).
About Japanese Public Key Infrastructure
Japanese Public Key Infrastructure is a public service that enables identity verification and online application on the Internet by using electronic certification stored in My Number Card to ensure the prevention of impersonation, alteration, and transmission denial.
Approval of private sector by the competent minister
Private sector can also be used by companies that have been certified by the competent minister as satisfying certain standards for system security, etc. To date, 24 companies have been certified by the competent minister.
