(Closed) laws and ordinances APIs prototype public testing, Part 3
- Published:
1. Overview
Purpose of the meeting
Digital Agency is working on the upgrading of the laws and ordinances APIs, which provide information on laws, government and ministerial ordinances, etc., with the aim of developing industries, technologies, and policy-making through the use of information from laws and ordinances, etc., and aims to upgrade the APIs during fiscal 2024.
In order to enhance laws and ordinances APIs in this way, we developed a prototype of functional extensions to laws and ordinances APIs (laws and ordinances APIs prototype) and conducted public testing on the following schedule.
- Public Testing (Part 1): October to November 2023
- Public Testing (Part 2): February to March 2024
This time, we will further improve the laws and ordinances APIs prototype and conduct the third public test in conjunction with the "laws and ordinances" x "Digital" Hackathon . Please use the prototype as a trial and let us know your frank opinions.
2. Period of Meeting
From January 27, 2025 (Monday) to February 21, 2025 (Friday)
3. How to use
The laws and ordinances APIs prototype is a prototype of APIs that extend the functions of the "laws and ordinances APIs" currently provided by Digital Agency on the e-Gov laws and ordinances Search.
in Fiscal 2023 (Completed) laws and ordinances APIs Prototype Public Test (Second) had a function to obtain a list of laws and ordinances and articles. In this laws and ordinances APIs Prototype Public Test (Third), we added a function to search for articles at a specific point in time and obtain articles at that point in time based on laws and ordinances and other information on the e-Gov laws and ordinances Search (APIs including this function are hereinafter referred to as "laws and ordinances APIs Version2").
In fiscal 2024, in addition to the laws and ordinances APIs Version2 described above, we developed a prototype API with a function to obtain some notification data, etc. (APIs including this function are hereinafter referred to as "notification and intermediate APIs").
The usage environments of "laws and ordinances APIs Version2" and "Announcement and Intermediate APIs" provided in this open test can be checked from the following URL.
- Laws and ordinances APIs Version2
You can search for and retrieve past articles by specifying a point in time. laws and ordinances Articles are available in an XML format that conforms to the laws and ordinances Standard XML Schema and, on an experimental basis, in a JSON-format. Note, however, that this JSON-format spec is preliminary and is intended to be interoperable with XML that conforms to the laws and ordinances Standard XML Schema.- API Specifications and Usage (Swagger UI)
You can check the URL and parameters of the API.
In addition, in the "Introduction" section at the beginning of this report, we provide a page that explains the range of laws and ordinances information provided by APIs and the laws and ordinances structure.
- API Specifications and Usage (Swagger UI)
- Announcement and intermediate API
The notification APIs can obtain notification information (in XML format and plain text format according to the laws and ordinances standard XML schema) on a trial basis for some notifications in the architectural field, and can obtain laws and ordinances information (laws and ordinances IDs and laws and ordinances names) associated with arbitrary notification information.- API Specifications and Usage (Swagger UI)
You can check the URL and parameters of the API.

4. Points to Note
- Please note that the data that can be obtained from this prototype API is prepared for testing purposes, and we cannot guarantee its completeness.
- This prototype is provided as a temporary test, so please refrain from incorporating it into the actual system.
- Please note that in order to utilize laws and ordinances APIs for the actual provision of services as a project using laws and ordinances APIs, it is necessary to use the current APIs officially provided on the laws and ordinances e-Gov or the laws and ordinances APIs after the renovation that is being considered in the future. laws and ordinances
5. Terms of Use
- About Access Restrictions
This environment uses an open system that does not require any special usage procedures or authentication so that it can be accessed by as many users as possible. However, in order to protect the server, if a large amount of access exceeding the processing limit of the server or BOT access is confirmed, access may be restricted. Please refrain from using this environment by intentionally conducting a load test or the like.
In addition, please refrain from using this function in such a way as to loop the entire laws and ordinances and sequentially obtain the text data, as it may impose a burden on server resources and cause response delay or server down that may affect other users.
If a separate bulk download is required, refer to the "Bulk XML Download" section in the "laws and ordinances User Environments " section of the " APIs Version2." - Handling of provided URLs
The URL of this website can be accessed only during the event period. Outside the event period, the URL cannot be accessed. For this reason, please refrain from using the website for permanent use or posting a link on the website. In addition, Digital Agency shall not be liable for any disadvantages that may arise on the user's side. - About Maintenance
Server maintenance may be performed. During server maintenance, the laws and ordinances APIs prototype will not be available. Any server maintenance that involves a long-term outage will be notified on the Digital Agency website. Please note that API specifications may also change during the event. - About Service Interruptions
In the event of anything that Digital Agency deems unavoidable, we may suspend the release of this Enviroment even during the exhibition period.
In addition, the development and test provision of this prototype and the tabulation of opinions received are being carried out by Gyosei Co., Ltd., which is a contractor.
