1. Dissemination of electronic medical records
Electronic medical records are one of the initiatives promoted by Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare that will form the foundation of the Healthcare DX . This is an important measure for realizing a national medical information platform.
Electronic medical records are a mechanism for electronically recording and managing information such as patients' medical records, examination results, and prescription information. As more and more medical institutions introduce electronic medical records, the management of medical records will shift from paper to electronic, which will lead to more efficient medical care and operations.
Furthermore, in the future, by linking with electronic medical record information sharing services, it will become possible for medical institutions to safely share necessary medical information, and it is expected that seamless medical care will be realized.
2. Introduction of electronic medical records
2.1. Introduction status by facility
It is possible to check the introduction status of hospitals and medical clinics that have responded to a questionnaire on the introduction of electronic medical records among medical institutions that have adopted an online qualification confirmation system nationwide. For hospitals, it is also possible to check by bed.

- The dashboard is based on information gathered by the Health Insurance Claims Review & Reimbursement Services (Medical Information Infrastructure and Medical Service Fee Evaluation and Payment Organization since October 1, 2026).
- The map on the dashboard is based on Digital Land Information (Administrative Boundaries) (Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism) .
- Due to the convenience of the system, the map mechanically displays islands of a certain area or larger.
- Structural data will also be disclosed.
