On July 27, 2026, pursuant to Article 17, Paragraph 1, Item 6 of the Act on Certification Business of Japan Agency for Local Authority Information Systems concerning Electronic Signatures, etc. (Act No. 153 of 2002), the AIFUL CORPORATION was authorized by the competent ministry as a business operator that meets certain criteria necessary for using Japanese Public Key Infrastructure.
About Japanese Public Key Infrastructure
Japanese Public Key Infrastructure is a public service that uses electronic certificate stored in My Number Card to guarantee the prevention of spoofing, falsification, and transmission denial, and to enable identity verification and online application on the Internet.
Authorization by the Competent Minister for private sector
In private sector, as long as the company meets certain criteria for system security, etc., and is certified by the competent minister, it can use the service. So far, 28 companies have been certified by the competent minister.
