On June 15, Minister for Digital Transformation Matsumoto delivered a video message at the online event (YouTube) marking the public launch of the first OECD Digital Government Outlook

Message Overview

In his video message, Minister Matsumoto stated that the Digital Agency’s “Government AI GENAI” initiative aims to accelerate the implementation of AI across the whole of Japanese society by having the government itself take the lead in using AI. He explained that the government is advancing both AI utilization and risk management in an integrated manner. He also emphasized that promoting Government AI grounded in the value of trustworthiness will be crucial for establishing international governance frameworks for safe, secure, and trustworthy AI.
