Parliamentary Vice-Minister Kishi attended Asian Tech×Singapore (AT×SG) 2025

Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Digital Transformation Kishi visited Singapore from May 27 to 28, 2025, to attend Asia Tech x Singapore (ATxSG) 2025 , an international technology event organized by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) that gathered 3,000 guests from 55 countries worldwide. The event covered a wide range of topics, such as AI, space satellites and communications, quantum computing and digital sustainability.

In the plenary session, Vice-Minister Kishi attended closed-door government-to-government (G2G) roundtable for government officials focused on AI. On this occasion, he also held meetings with ministers and other participants.

Ministerial-level G2G Closed-Door Roundtable

Vice-Minister Kishi attended the ministerial-level G2G closed-door roundtable on AI risk measures, where he shared Japan’s AI initiatives and outlined future prospects for the integration of robotics and AI.

Bilateral Meetings

Vice-Minister Kishi met with the President of Singapore and government officials from participating countries on May 27 and 28.

Singapore

1. Vice-Minister Kishi conveyed his gratitude to the President Tharman of Singapore, the host country of the event.

2. Exchanged views with Mrs. Josephine Teo, Minister for Digital Development and Information, whom he met again following their previous encounter at the Japan-ASEAN Digital Ministers’ Meeting in January this year, to discuss the digital sector.
