1. Overview
On Wednesday, March 11, 2026, the "Data Security Working Group Summary" was released.
In the AI era, information is the source of innovation and value creation, and its value continues to rise. As a result, it has become essential to collaborate and share information with other organizations. On the other hand, as information is shared and collaborated with other organizations, including AI utilization, both within and outside Japan, the risk of unexpected infringement of data-related legal interests is also increasing.
Against this backdrop, Digital Agency has established a Data Security Working Group under the Data Governance Study Group and has been studying measures to be taken for appropriate data utilization.
This report shows the basic concept of "data security." In addition, as a trial example of "data security," it provides a mapping of measures against risks associated with "cross-border transfer of data," organized into the three parts of "system," "technology," and "operation."
